Storm brake / rail clamp to protect crane systems or railbound machines against unwanted movements e.g. storm.

  • Closing by spring force with toggle lever system – adjustable by throttle
  • Opening by hydraulic-cylinder
  • Restraining / holding forces up to 640 kN per clamp

Functional principle

  • Closing by spring force with toggle lever system – adjustable by throttle
  • Opening by hydraulic-cylinder
  • Automatically closing function in case of power failure
  • A vertical and horizontal guiding system avoids tilting of the clamp carriage when clamp levers are opened
  • Hand pump for emergency operation (manual) is supplied as standard
